slopcup.com · the badge

For the repositories on the shelf

Every listing on SlopCup has a stable page of its own, and every listed repository may use this badge. It is one SVG, it costs nothing, it points at the listing, and a request to takedown@slopcup.com removes both. The shelf is swept daily at 04:00 UTC; the badge URL does not change.

What it looks like

Where LISTING_URL comes from

Your repository has a page on the shelf at https://slopcup.com/l/<slug>/. Find it in the shelf as URLs — 38 listings, one page each — or in the illustrated shelf. The page carries the licence, the language, the stars at last sweep, the date it was listed, and that day's tile.

What the badge does not claim

It says the repository is listed, not that it is good, not that SlopCup reviewed it beyond licence and provenance checks, and not that its authors endorsed this site. If the listing is wrong, say so and it goes.

Why this exists

A directory that only borrows other people's repositories should give something back: a URL that points at the project rather than at the directory, and a way for the project to point back. That is the whole trade.
